The SG210 Torque/Angle Sensor is a reference design torque sensor for proof-of-concept/evaluation/technology demonstration. This unique high-performance torque sensor based on Sensitivus’ SG3Q technology is ideal for a quick start in any torque sensor project.
For most e-bike applications the two main issues are a delay in cadence detection and an offset/zero-point stability in the torque sensor. This is how the SG210 Torque/Angle sensor reference design can help:
- The SG210 measures cadence based on inductive absolute angle measurements with 1 deg resolution, resulting in an ultrafast cadence response without the use of permanent magnets.
- Torque offset stability performance is market-leading due to the strain gauge technology used. Learn more about what makes our strain gauge-based technology so much better than magnetostrictive sensors for torque measurements on e-bikes.
The SG210 is not only suitable for e-bike applications but can also meet a wide range of requirements in other applications. SG210 has flexible couplings for input + output which means that it can easily be used for various test set-ups where torque and/or angle are needed.
Inside SG210 is the SG30 module set, which can be used as a convenient stepping stone to a custom sensor system.
