Our brake force sensor technology is used in applications ranging from performance optimization for pro-level MTB athletes to ABS testing as an in-house test tool for brake manufacturers. We have developed both rotor-based and caliper-based sensors. Both have advantages and disadvantages. We focus on the caliper versions as a shippable product and have the rotor version available for interested parties in a joint development project.
CALIPER SENSOR
Easily install the sensor under the front or rear caliper. Run the cable to the data logger and you are ready to start recording brake events.
Key features
- True braking force measurement
- Easy 2-bolt installation
- Compatible with dataloggers
- Rugged waterproof design
- Very low power
- Field-proven design in use by top teams
The sensor was developed together with BrakeForceOne and has been used for years in testing and MTB performance optimization. Compatible with the BrakeAce brake analysis system – read more on the detail page.

ROTOR SENSOR
The wireless rotor sensor is a good solution as a brake sensor as it fits inside the diameter of the smaller rotors and does not require the user to adjust to a bigger rotor size.
Key features
- Standard 6-bolt mount
- Similar to well-known spider-based power meter technology
- Includes wheel rotation measurement
- Wireless with a rechargeable battery
This brake force sensor is available as a reference design.
