The world’s lightest power meter crankset is now available from THM Carbones based on a unique collaboration between the danish power meter technology provider Sensitivus Gauge and THM Carbones in Germany. The unique full carbon technology in the Clavicula SE crankset from THM Carbones combined with the proven power meter technology from Sensitivus makes this the highest stiffness-to-weight ratio power meter crankset on the market today.
THM’s move to adopt Sensitivus power meter technology is a stamp of quality for the Danish company. Sensitivus CEO Rolf Ostergaard sees it as an important milestone: “The selection by a company known for uncompromised engineering is proof that our power meter technology fits well with everything, from the sublime, high-end cranksets all the way to very high-volume. This selection only reconfirms our pride in this power meter technology and our confidence to drive future innovation in the sector.”
The Clavicula SE sets the benchmark for lightweight power meter cranksets for years to come, weighing in at only 325g for the complete crankset excluding chainrings. “We are extremely pleased with the collaboration,” commented Sensitivus CEO Rolf Ostergaard. “The integration of carbon fibers and strain gauges at this level required some next-level techniques to be developed. Together we have created something truly unique.”
Users of the Clavicula power meter will enjoy full compatibility with head units from all major manufactures through both the ANT+ protocol and BLE. For advanced setup and wireless firmware upgrade, users have access to the same app as all other power meters based on the Sensitivus technology: The “Team ZWATT” power meter app for both iOS and Android. The rechargeable power meter technology adds only 27g to the weight of the crankset.
